2017-2018 School Year
Welcome parents and students to my page. I am looking forward to working with you all. We are going to have a excellent year.
My expectations are high. I expect every student that I work with to put forth their best effort, persevere through the challenging material, ask questions and work diligently to complete all assigned tasks.

Current and Recent News
We have completed our first STAR benchmark. Will send home the information as soon as I can get them to print.
Solar Eclipse soon - we will get to go outside and view some if not all of it.
Students are out of school Friday, February 17th and Monday, February 20th for Columbus Day.
Parent Teacher Conference is Thursday 2/9/17 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Looking forward to speaking with you all.
Christmas break begins December 20th - half day for students. Students return January 4th.
Thanksgiving Break begins November 23rd
Fall break begins October 10th - enjoy the week off
No school for students Monday, September 19th. Parent teacher conference 3-6 p.m.
Beginning Monday, September 19th, online ACT prep is available at 6 pm. This runs through Thursday.
9/11 memorial assembly was good.
If you have a student in 7th grade math, please sign up for my homework reminders. Please let me know if you need a form with directions.
Back to School Bash next Friday (August 26th) from 5-9 for middle school students. Looking forward to seeing everyone there.
We took the STAR test this week. As a whole, the class did great.
Open house went well!!!! I am really excited to begin working with all of my students this semester.
I can't believe summer break is almost over. School starts August 4th. The first day is a half day for students.
Wow!!!! The year is completed. I couldn't be prouder of all of the students I worked with.
TNREADY will not be given the week of May 2nd.
The second part of TNREADY is next week!!!!! Where did the time go?
We will take the first part of TNREADY on February 29th.
Parent Teacher conference - February 11th - I should be here for this, if I will not be here, I will send out a letter with times I can meet with parents before then.
I will be out of the classroom on February 9th to 1th for training in Nashville
Homecoming Week - January 25th to January 29th
Friday December 18th is a half-day. This will start our Christmas break. I hope everyone has a very blessed Christmas. Students will return to school on January 5th.
Thanksgiving break - Students will attend all day Monday, November 23rd and will attend a half-day on Tuesday, November 24th. We will be providing lunch prior to dismissal on Tuesday. I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving holiday.
Fall break is October 12th to October 16th. Enjoy the week off. Don't forget to keep practicing multiplication facts and signed number rules.
Our second 2nd 4 1/2 week assessment is Monday October 5.
I have early duty the week of September 28th. I will be unavailable for LEAP in the morning.
No School on Monday, September 21st. Parent teacher conference begins at 3 p.m. and ends at 6 p.m. on this day. (Corrected to note the right end time.)

I will be absent this Wednesday, August 26th for training. This will be the first time for a substitute this year, please remind your child that the consequences are doubled for misbehavior when I am absent.
